Hungary Receives Warnings Against Adopting NGO Law

The US Department of State has warned the Hungarian government against adopting the law requiring that NGOs receiving more than $26,000 in donations from abroad be registered as “foreign-supported organizations.”

Hungary will take another step away from NATO and EU principles if it signs a measure which imposes limitations on foreign-funded non-governmental organizations, the US Department of State said in a press release.

“If signed into law, this would be another step away from Hungary’s commitments to uphold the principles and values that are central to the EU and NATO,” the release stated on Monday.

On June 14, the Hungarian parliament passed legislation requiring that NGOs receiving more than $26,000 in donations from abroad be registered as “foreign-supported organizations.” The law stipulates sanctions to be imposed on the NGOs not abiding by the rule.

The legislation would disadvantage Hungarian civil society by blocking its ability to “organize and address concerns in a legitimate and democratic manner,” the release added.

It appears that Budapest has recently become a thorn in the side of Hungarian-American billionaire George Soros and powerful Eurocrats, which are struggling to implement their “liberal globalization project”.

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban continues his fight against George Soros‘ “globalization” project attacking Soros’ network of NGOs:

“The only network which operates in mafia ways, which is not transparent… in Hungary is the Soros network.”

“This is why we must insist, and I personally insist on having a parliamentary decision on making these organizations transparent,” Orban added.

Back in April, Orban kicked off a nationwide campaign “National Consultation 2017” to draw popular support against Brussels’ migration policies and controversial activities of foreign nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) in Hungary. At least 60 of those NGOs are funded by George Soros.

The Hungarian-American magnate Soros is known as a master of “social engineering,” taking into account the fact that Soros’ Open Society Foundation spends billions of dollars on providing education and promoting “vibrant and tolerant democracy” (aka BRAINWASHING) in Central and Eastern Europe and post-Soviet space.
