White House Director of Social Media Dan Scavino Jr. fired back at a tweet from Sen. Chuck Schumer (D., N.Y.) on Friday.
The New York Senator tweeted, “The bottom line is we have an obligation to get to the truth. We must evaluate the scope of Russia’s interference in our election.”
Scavino responded with a photograph of Schumer and Russian President Vladimir Putin, adding, “do it over a donut and coffee.”

The White House came under fire on Wednesday night when it was revealed that Attorney General Jeff Sessions did not disclose during his confirmation hearing two meetings with Russian ambassador to Washington Sergey Kislyak during President Donald Trump’s presidential campaign in 2016. Sessions recused himself on Thursday from any investigation related to Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign.
